Obituary for Robert "Bob" Ronald Baillie
Bob Baillie, 82, of Harbor, passed away Dec. 21st at a local hospital. Bob was born July 25, 1929 near Pittsburgh, PA as the fourth son of Roynald and Bertha (Armhurst) Baillie. Following high school graduation in Pittsburgh, he moved with his parents and younger brother Don to California. At the age of nineteen, he was drafted and served honorably in Korea and Japan. Upon his return to California, Bob worked for G. Paoletti Company, Inc., where he was employed for 40 years. After retiring, he moved to Brookings with his companion of 35 years, Harriet. He was a past member of the Elks Club. Bob was always “handy” and enjoyed building projects with children's enjoyment in mind- such as treehouses, swings and trainsets. He was “Pa Pa” to Harriet’s children, Steven and Gail; and grandchildren Liz, Val, Rachel, Hannah and Dylan, and spent many hours with them. He will be truly missed.
