Obituary for Steven J. Borich
Steven J. Borich, 54, passed away from natural causes at his home in Brookings, Ore. on August 15, 2014. Steven was born December 26, 1959 in Flint, Mich. to Joseph and Erma Borich. He grew up in southern California to moving north to Hilt, Calif. at the age of 22. There he established Shasta View Company and a developed a ranch and green house. Steven had many family and friends in the California, Portland, Ashland and Brookings, Oregon areas. He loved hiking, biking, fishing, rafting and time spent in the Grand Canyon. He had an overall enjoyment of nature but particularly liked the rural ocean beaches of Oregon, especially in the Brookings area where he spent partial time. Survivors include his parents, Joseph and Erma Borich of Colorado; sisters Debra Mickelson of Denver, Colo., Linda Siebert and her husband Todd of southern California, nieces and nephews, Kate Mickelson of Denver, Taylor Abass of San Diego, Calif., Brandon Abass, Nick Abass, Grant Abass and Gordon Siebert, all of southern California. Steven was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Anthony Borich. Redwood Memorial Chapel is assisting the family. Condolences may be expressed online at www.redwoodmemorial.net.
