Obituary for Bryan Duane Skidmore
BRYAN DUANE SKIDMORE, 52, of Brookings, Oregon died November 16,2011, at the home of his caregiver and dear friend, Kathy Benjamin. He was born in Carson City Nevada on January 17,1959 as the youngest son of Duane and Donna Skidmore. After graduating from Carson City schools, he attended Evergreen State College. Bryan worked as a computer technician in a variety of fields, in many areas. He eventually owned an Italian Restaurant called Bella Italia that was very successful. Throughout his life, Bryan was involved in theatrical activities, as an actor, writer and director; and created a theater in Brookings. Bryan had a wonderful sense of humor and made everyone around him laugh. He loved playing board games and always wanted to win. He was a great listener and loved being entertained as much as he loved entertaining. He married Haley Hoyt and was an amazing step-father to her four wonderful children. He is survived by his parents, of Carson City, Nevada and three siblings (Sheri, Brent, and Debbie). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews that loved him. He leaves many friends who shared his love of the theater. Memorial services will be held on or near his birthday, January 17,2012 in Brooking Oregon. Cremation is under the direction of Redwood Memorial Chapel.
