Obituary for Yvonne F. Tripp
Yvonne Faye Tripp, 99, passed away at her home in Harbor, Ore. on October 30, 2016.
Yvonne was born January 11, 1917 in Goodrich, North Dakota. Yvonne graduated from high school in Missoula, Montana. She married Herschel E. Tripp in 1951 in Moscow, Idaho. They moved to Eugene in 1961 from Fernwood, Idaho. In Eugene, Yvonne worked for 3 years at B.L. Wirth Mfg. Jewelers before working for 17 years at Olson’s Jewelry Store. She retired in 1979. Yvonne was active in several organizations including the Girl Scouts, Eugene Women’s Choral Club, the ITC (International Training in Communication), the Irving Grange and Fairfield Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, homemaking, music and poetry. She was also a pianist for the Young at Heart Rehab Singers.
Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Ferris of Harbor, Ore., granddaughter, Janell Wyant, grandsons, David and Dominic Filippi, great grandsons, Anthony and Kurtis Wyant, Kyle Filippi, great granddaughter, Taylor Filippi. Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Ronald.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016 at Lane Memorial Gardens Chapel, 5300 W. 11th Ave. in Eugene. Interment will follow the service there.
