Obituary for Walter A. Vilas
Walter Vilas passed away January 8, 2013 at age 86. He was born July 24, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan to Walter Sr., and Grace (Hammer) Vilas. He served in the US Navy following WWII. Walter moved to Gold Beach in 1972 He is survived by his beloved “Sweetie” of 14 years Francis Mabry. Daughters Rose, Colleen (Joy), Yvonne, Grayce and sons Walter Jr. and Lloyd. Grandchildren Lloyd Jr. and Crystal and great grandchild Iris. He was a wonderful father. He will be missed by his family and friends.
