Obituary for Wally Kent Natell
Wally Nattell Nov. 28, 1956 - Dec. 29, 2010 Wally Nattell passed away in Gold Beach, OR on December 29, 2010. He was 54. Wally was born in Delano, CA on November 28, 1956. He grew up in Santa Maria where he attended and graduated from Righetti High School. Following that, Wally entered the US Marine Corps and served during Vietnam, receiving an honorable discharge in 1975. He then began what would be a lifelong career driving truck, both as an owner/operator and for a variety of different companies, including several in Brookings after moving here in 1999. Wally married Tina Davis in Las Vegas, NV on November 29, 1993. He enjoyed working on cars and other handyman projects and would help out anyone in need. He loved his prized black BMW and would make several trips a day into town. Wally also loved to cook and was famous for his homemade chicken noodle soup. Survivors include his wife, Tina of Brookings, daughter, Carolann Nattell of Brookings, stepchildren, Kristopher Burrill and his wife, Rebecca of Grants Pass, Ashly Burrill and her husband, Lance Henderson of Brookings, Samantha Burrill of Brookings, mother, Carol Rokos of Santa Maria, CA, brother, Kenny Nattell of California, uncles, Chuck Newton of Santa Maria, CA and Bill Newton of Arizona, grandchildren, Oliver, Caleb and Nolyn, niece, Brandy and nephew, Michael. Wally was preceded in death by a brother, Roni. Memorial contributions may be made to a fund established in Wally's name at Umpqua Bank to assist the family. Private interment will be at a later date at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
