Obituary for Thomas Dean Millard

Thomas Dean Millard May 22, 1962 – April 18, 2011 Thomas Dean Millard was born May 22, 1962 and went to be with his Lord on April 18, 2011. He was 48 years old. He was born in Gold Beach, Oregon. Tom was married to Marjie on April 15, 1989 in Brookings, Oregon. Tom and Marjie loved the Oregon coast. They lived in Brookings, Yachats, Waldport, Washington State, and most recently, Langlois Mountain. Tom and Jade (his faithful dog), loved pheasant hunting and traveled to Eastern Oregon yearly. Tom enjoyed coaching his daughters’ softball team and was Scoutmaster for Troop #53 in Waldport. Tom loved mentoring young people. Tom also enjoyed mushroom hunting. He had numerous jobs through the years including commercial fishing, concrete finisher, home builder, owner and operator of West Coast Tree Service, and most recently working on the Smith ranch in Langlois. He and his wife Marjie attended Langlois Community Church where they quickly became well loved. He will be remembered for his strength in Jesus Christ and his love for all people. He was always there to help when needed. He is survived by his wife Marjie Millard; his children Clayton Millard, Katie Millard, Felicia Pettit-Aguilar; his mother Barbara Page, step-father Keith Martindale, his foster parents Clatie and Ona Smith; his siblings Robert and Holly Millard, Mike Millard, David Millard, Steve and Nadine Millard, Bill and Nellie Millard, Lisa and George Eustice, Cindy Henson, Kathy Deturk, and many nieces, nephews and friends. We will be celebrating Tom’s graduation into the Kingdom of Heaven on April 30, 2011 at 2 PM at the Langlois Community Church, 94284 Main Street, Langlois, Oregon. You are encouraged to bring a copy of your favorite photos of Tom. There will be a time to share your story during the service, and a place to leave photos and notes during the reception.
