Stephen L. Leach Aug. 21, 1956 - Sept. 25, 2010 Stephen L. Leach passed away at his home in Harbor with friends and family at his side on Saturday, September 25, 2010. He was 54. Steve was born August 21, 1956 in Oroville, CA to Lawrence and Joan (Phillips) Leach. He spent most of his working life as a chef and cook in restaurants. Steve married Judi Giambruno in Oroville, CA on February 14, 1998 - they moved to Harbor 12 years ago. Steve was a member of the Brookings-Harbor Red Shirts. He took 1st place in the 2009 Chili Cook-off with his famed "Uncle Steve's Sweet & Nasty Chili". He enjoyed woodwork, fishing and cooking and received numerous awards in local pool tournaments. Survivors include his daughter, Katrina Robertson and her husband, Glen of Chico, CA, brothers, Ken Leach and his wife, Denise of Verona, MO, Mike Leach of Anchorage, AK, Philip Leach of Austin, TX, adopted brother, Kelly Bural of Brookings, sister, Charlene Armstrong and her husband, David, of Rio Rancho, NM, and one grandchild. Steve was preceded in death by his wife, Judi. Steve and Judi's cremated remains were scattered in the Pacific Ocean.
