Obituary for Sharon F. Philbrick
Sharon F. Philbrick Aug. 28, 1942 – Dec. 19, 2016
Sharon F. Philbrick, 74, of Brookings, passed away at a local care facility in Brookings on Dec. 19, 2016.
Sharon was born Aug. 28, 1942 in Dunsmuir, Calif. to Joseph and Mary (Davis) Gibson. She married David H. Philbrick in Dunsmuir, Calif. on July 20, 1984. They moved to Brookings in 2010.
Sharon loved knitting. She spent several years working in website design. She also was a talented watercolor artist and worked designing floats for parades in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, David, of Brookings; daughters, Teresa Wilcox and her husband, Kevin of Hammond, Louisiana, Pamela Missora and her husband, Walter of Jacksonville, Florida; son, Lynn Bourgeois, Jr. of Crescent City, Calif., thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Gibson.

A funeral service will be held at 11am on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016 at Redwood Memorial Chapel, 1020 Fifield St. in Brookings. Pastor Adrian Van Aswegen will officiate. Interment will follow at WJ Ward Memorial Cemetery in Brookings.
