Obituary for Russell E. McCullough
Russell E. McCullough, 44, of Brookings, passed away suddenly from natural causes in Crescent City, Calif. on December 2, 2013. He was born March 14, 1969 in Denver, Colo. to Arba and Christina (Buckmaster) McCullough. At an early age, he moved to Brookings where he attended local schools. In 1989, Russell moved to Florida. After surviving Hurricane Andrew, he decided it was time to move back to the west coast. He moved to Eagle Point, Ore. where he lived until returning to Brookings in 2007. Russell married Staci Lin (Nicholson) Skillett in Brookings on October 16, 2010. He enjoyed cars, camping, hiking, kayaking, aquariums, spending time with his family and was a very fine craftsman. Most of his working life was spent in the auto body business repairing cars. Survivors include his wife, Staci of Brookings, daughters, River Elise McCullough and Crystal Rain McCullough of Brookings, stepdaughters Cori Lin Skillett and Alyssa Belle Skillett of Brookings, brother, Arba Jay McCullough of Oklahoma, mother and stepfather, Chris and Don Wilson of Medford. Russell was preceded in death by his father and sister. Memorial contributions may be made to an account established to assist the family at any branch of Rogue Federal Credit Union. A celebration of Russell’s life will be at 11:00am on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013 at Brookings Harbor Christian Church, 777 5th St. in Brookings. A reception will follow at the Seascape Regional Center, 98158 W. Benham Lane in Harbor. Inurnment will be at a later date at Siskiyou Memorial Park in Medford.
