Obituary for Robert John Freeman
Robert J. Freeman
April 27, 1925 – November 2, 2015

Robert J. Freeman or Bob Freeman, as he was known by his friends and family, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2016 at the age of 91. He joined the Navy at the age of 16 with his father’s permission. At the age of 21 he married the Love of his Life, Katherine. He always liked to say that his “chosen” profession was Truck Driver. He loved to play pool at the Elks and was especially fond of beating Ralph, Walt, J.T. and Carol, who was fondly known as the “Witch”. He enjoyed fishing, especially when winning both the first and largest fish bets with his son! Many people may not know that he was the first person to drink “Light Beer”, unaware that his wife diluted his beer. One of his favorite daily routines was visiting his dear friend and inspirational “Guru”, Little Joe Gastonguay at Harbor Logging. In the last 13 years, he started his second childhood dream of owning antique vehicles, winning numerous Best In Show awards with is ’32 Ford Phaeton. He would have liked thank Lucky Seven Casino for all their donations towards his many, many, many, many vehicles.

He was preceded in death by his lovely wife, Katherine, and is survived by his brother Jimmie Freeman, daughter Kris and her husband Tom Burke, son Jim and his wife Linda Freeman, 3 grandchildren: Andrea, Bob and Samantha, and 4 great-grandchildren: Allie, Ayden, Mason and Haley Rose.

He will be laid to rest with his wife at W. J. Ward Memorial Cemetery.

Redwood Memorial Chapel is assisting the family.
