Obituary for Richard E. Thompson
Richard E. Thompson Nov. 9, 1945 – Dec. 19, 2016
Richard E. Thompson, 71, passed away at his home in Gold Beach, Ore. on December 19, 2016.
Richard was born Nov. 9, 1945 in Chicago, Ill. He grew up and attended school there. Richard spent most of his career working in personnel services. He moved to Los Angeles, Calif. in the 1990’s where he lived until moving to Gold Beach in 2004. Richard became active in the Gold Beach Senior center including serving on its board as President for 3 years. There he also met Relda Martolin. The two were married in Gold Beach on Nov. 9, 2005 and enjoyed each other’s company and time spent at the Senior Center. Richard also enjoyed computers and watching old war movies.
Survivors include his wife, Relda of Gold Beach and a sister, Donna Alberts of Rogers, Ark.
