Obituary for Richard "Dick" Kincaid
Richard “Dick” Kincaid passed away at his Brookings home on April 24, 2013. He was 68. Dick was born July 24, 1944 in Hobbs, New Mexico. He was raised in Williams, Ore. where the family owned and operated Kincaid Logging. Dick worked driving truck right out of high school but later began working in the woods as a logger. He married Sally Jo Herriott on August 13, 1963 in Reno, Nevada. They retired to Brookings in 2010 where Dick helped his daughter and son-in-law as the maintenance man at their Dairy Queen stores in Brookings and Gold Beach. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Sally of Brookings, son and daughter-in-law Alan and René Kincaid of Williams, daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Bart Burroughs of Brookings, grandchildren, Thomas and Casey Kincaid, Richard and Cody Burroughs, brother, James Kincaid of Medford, Ore.
