Obituary for Renee Buesen
Obituaries: Renee Buesen (Feb. 27, 1944 – Oct. 19, 2010) November 20, 2010 04:54 pm Renee Buesen passed away suddenly in Crescent City, on Oct. 19, 2010. She was 66. Renee was born February 27, 1944, in Minneapolis, Minn., to Lowell and Dorothy (Maire) Beard. She grew up in Minnesota, but later moved to Salem, Ore., where she graduated high school in 1962. In 1972, Renee moved to Hayward, Calif., where she lived for many years until moving to Glendale, Ariz., and then to Reno, Nev., before finally moving to Crescent City in 2002, where she enjoyed retirement at the rainy and foggy northern coast as well as being able to live very close to one of her daughters and a few of her grandchildren. Although primarily a housewife during her earlier years, later in her life she worked various jobs, most notably as a night clerk at various hotels, which she enjoyed and which suited her perfectly, especially being the night owl that she was. Renee was a beautiful person with a kind heart and a gentle spirit. She was an especially shy and private person, but those who knew her appreciated her for her warmth and sensitivity as well as her empathy for others. Survivors include her children, Kelli Burbage and her husband Ricky of Hebo, OR, Lane Kellogg of St. Helena, CA, Darcelle “Darci” Davis and her companion Gary Clawson of Crescent City, CA, U.S. Navy Officer Lieutenant Junior Grade Derrick Buesen and his wife Joanna of Virginia Beach, VA, and Darren Buesen and his wife Bethany of Berkeley, CA, as well as grandchildren, Sarah Schumacher, Daniel, James, Kyle and Rachel Kellogg, U.S. Army Private Lloyd Davis Jr., Lacey, and Jack Davis and Andre and Theodore Buesen. A celebration of Renee's life was held on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at Redwood Memorial Chapel in Brookings.
