Obituary for Peggy "Peggy Sue" Ellen Collins
Peggy “Sue” Ellen Collins, 57, of Brookings, passed away at Curry General Hospital in Gold Beach, Ore. on July 6, 2015. Peggy was born August 15, 1957 in Santa Monica, Calif. She and her three children moved to Brookings in 2000 from the Portland area. Here she worked as a server at McDonalds and as a housekeeper at the Brookings Inn Motel. Peggy was a strong, hard-working, loving single mother and grandmother who absolutely loved spending time with her family more than anything – especially time with her grandchildren. She loved being outdoors – camping and going to the beaches and parks. Peggy was humble, never held a grudge, never complained, never judged and will be remembered as a beautiful, independent, amazing and Godly woman who touched the hearts of everyone she encountered. She will always be alive in us. Survivors include her daughter Heidi Collins, sons, Luke Collins and Jeremy Collins, all of Brookings, three grandchildren and her brother, Chuck. A celebration of Peggy’s life will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at His Place, 18881 Cornett Rd. in Brookings. Refreshments will be served.
