Obituary for Patricia Marjorie Riley
Patricia Marjorie Evans Riley, born March 17, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Marjorie Lillian Jenkins and Harold Lomax Evans, passed away Nov. 23, 2014 in Medford, Ore. Patricia graduated from South High School in Salt Lake City. She worked for many years at General Electric, where she met her late husband Lawrence L. Riley. They moved to Brookings, Ore., and began a wonderful life in a beautiful setting, with a host of dear friends and neighbors. Pat was creative and adventurous; she loved home decorating and cooking for everyone. She opened her home and her table to lift, cheer, and bless. Pat knew the meaning of true Christian charity and service. She could be found daily providing help and support in a variety of ways. She is well-loved, will be long remembered, and sorely missed. She is preceded in death by husband Lawrence Riley; her parents; and beloved dog Maxi. She is survived by her brother Brent (Christie) of Heber City, Utah; four sons: Peter of Heber City, Utah; Brad (Susan), their three children Lillian, Miles, and Harold of Salt Lake City, Utah; Carl of Heber City, Utah; and Aaron of Salt Lake City, Utah; and Patches. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014 at the Brookings Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 770 Elk Dr., Brookings, Ore. Friends and family are invited to come for visitation at the church at 10:15 a.m. prior to the service. Redwood Memorial Chapel is assisting the family.
