Obituary for Pastor Ronald E. Robertson
Pastor Ronald E. Robertson, 73, of Brookings, Ore., went home to be with the Lord on June 3, 2016.

He was born Sept. 29, 1942 in Atlanta, Georgia to Edward and Eula (McGuire) Robertson. Ronald served in the US Navy from 1959 to 1965 – working as a troop transporter during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He later earned a bachelor’s degree. Ronald became Pastor Robertson as a preacher for the Independent Fundamental Baptist Church. He married Arden Tribble in Reno, Nev. on March 22, 1969. They moved to Brookings in 2009 where Pastor Robertson served at the Faith Baptist Church until retirement. He enjoyed golf and camping but, more importantly, he loved winning souls for his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Arden, of Brookings; children Andrea Abbe and her husband Kevin of Roseburg, Ore., Steven Robertson of San Diego, Calif., Leslie McNamara and her husband, Tim of Napa, Calif.; stepchildren, Elaine Patton of Martinez, Calif., Brian Patton and his wife, Selina of Brookings, Ore.; siblings, Steven Robertson and Virginia Robertson, both of Seattle, Wash., 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Pastor Robertson was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Diane King and a stepdaughter, Michelle Denise Grant.

A celebration of Pastor Robertson’s life will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Redwood Memorial Chapel, 1020 Fifield St. in Brookings.
