Obituary for Nona Faye Johnson
Nona Faye Libhart Johnson Nona (76) passed away peacefully on April 26, 2021 in Brookings, Oregon. She was born on October 20, 1944 in San Diego, California. She graduated from Venice High School and served her country intheUS Navy. In her youth she enjoyed cheerleading, surfing, and go cart racing. Professionally she ran and owned several beauty salons and restaurants. She had fun camping and riding ATV’s. She loved to create and spent much of her time crafting, crocheting, decorating and knew how to make any house into a home. She made all of her homes into places her grandchildren loved to be. She will be remembered for her ability to create an atmosphere of fun, laughter, love and acceptance. No holiday was a dull holiday if you were blessed enough to spend it with Nona. In short, to know her was to love her. One of her greatest accomplishments in life was creating memories with her husband, children, and grandchildren, who will sorely miss her. She is survived by her loving husband David Johnson, children Jeffrey, Dan (and his wife Amber), Corey, David, Brett, Brian (and his wife Paulette), and Annie (and her husband Jeff), as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
