Obituary for Michael T. "Mike" Mullen
Michael T. Mullen Sept. 5, 1938 - June 14, 2011 Michael T. Mullen passed away at his home in Brookings, OR on June 14, 2011. He was 72. Mike was born in San Francisco, CA on September 5, 1938 to John and Alita (Akers) Mullen. He graduated from Bellarmine College Preparatory in San Jose, CA. He served in the Army Reserve Forces and received his training at Fort Ord, CA. in 1957. On April 18, 1970, Michael married the love of his life, Regina Doll at St. Mary's Church in Los Gatos, CA. They lived in several different cities in Calif. till moving to Brookings in 2006. Regina preceded him in death in 2009. Michael belonged to many service groups. had many hobbies, was an excellent cook, and an avid collector many items including books and model cars. Memorial contributions may be made to Curry County Animal Shelter, PO Box 746, Gold Beach, OR 97444. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Brookings on Friday, July 8, 2011 at 9:30am followed by a memorial Mass. Inurnment will be at a later date at the Roseburg National Cemetery in Roseburg, OR.
