Meredith “Ann” Spencer
Brookings resident Meredith “Ann” Spencer passed away on June 14, 2022 at a residential care facility in Crescent City, California. She was born January 25, 1940 in New Jersey to George Mallory and Meredith Phyllis (Moss) Baker. She married Eugene Wilbur Spencer on August 13, 1964 in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. They moved to Brookings after he retired from his employment with Harry and David in the Rogue Valley.
Ann served the community at the Brookings Welcome Center for many years and retired from there. She and Gene were extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion and were active in Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
Ann is survived by two step-children: Robert Spencer and his Wife Lori and Susan Quitt, all of Arizona; four grandkids, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandsons.
A Memorial Mass will be held at a date to be announced later.
