Obituary for Marion Louise Ayer
Marion Louise (Payne) Ayer, 87, of Harbor Oregon, went to be with her Savior February 22nd, 2014. Marion was born February 27th, 1926 in Boston, Massachusetts. Marion excelled in numerous professional and voluntary positions to include banking, medical, Law enforcement, political and Spiritual arenas. Her most recent involvement was becoming an assistant to the registrar of Church Birthing Matrix (cbmatrix.org). This necessitated her personal, intentional involvement in webinar, classroom instruction/training. Marion never stopped learning. In all endeavors Marion made it very clear that her vocation was secondary to her life-long calling to reflect Jesus Christ in all she said and did. In March of 1949 Marion was inducted into the United States Navy. In October 1949 Marion met James A. Payne and in her own words, “It was instant love.” They were married in December of the same year. In the early 1980’s Marion joined her husband in the entertainment industry. Her stage name was “Daisy” the Clown. James was known as “Tiny” the Musical Magical Clown. Their teamwork brought many smiles to children and adults alike. In September, 1991, 6 years following the death of James Payne, Marion married a life-long family friend, Howard C. Ayer. In 1993, Marion achieved licensure from the FCC obtaining her General Class license in Amateur Radio, call letters AE7MA. This was a hobby shared with both James Payne (K6JCR) and Howard Ayer (AA7XQ) Marion is survived by 5 daughters, Carol A. Olsen, Betty J. Russell, Susan L. Bruck, Anita L. Borreson, and Wendy J. Pettinger………..20 Grandchildren and 26 Great Grandchildren In Lieu of a Memorial Service, there is a family reunion being planned in Celebration of her life.
