Obituary for Louis "Rooster" Grant Hendrix
Louis Grant “Rooster” Hendrix passed away at his home in Brookings, Oregon April 7, 2016 with his loving wife, Diana Hendrix by his side. He was 73.

Grant was born June 9th, 1942 in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Louis and Ruby Hendrix. An only child, he attended school in Twin Falls, Idaho, and then Idaho state University. Grant loved the outdoors and spent his career in the U S Forest Service, where he retired in 1998. He had many hobbies, but above all, he loved fishing and spending time with friends and family on his boat on the open sea.

Rooster was quite a character and always the life of the party, he and Diana hosted many holiday gatherings at their home, going all out, making sure guests were comfortable and having a good time.

Grant leaves behind his wife, Diana Hendrix; four children, Lindee Hendrix, Lance Hendrix, Janie Fonticoba, and Jarid Baumgartner; two step children, Clint Kidd and Coral Torix, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Louis and Ruby Hendrix.

Per Rooster's request, there will be no funeral service.

The family is most grateful for the many calls of condolences from friends.
