Obituary for Lorraine Marie Patterson
Lorraine M. Patterson passed away at a local care facility in Gold Beach on Friday, December 23, 2011. She was 90. Lorraine was born August 31, 1921 in London, Ontario, Canada to Reginald and Ida (Mortensen) Vann. She married Joseph W. Patterson in Seattle, Wash. on February 10, 1940. She moved to Gold Beach 15 years ago where Lorraine was active at the Bethany Lutheran Church. She also enjoyed gardening, baking and playing bridge. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Joan Patterson of Indio, Calif., two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband and a son, David. Memorial contributions may be made to Coastal Home Health and Hospice, PO Box 493, Gold Beach, OR 97444 or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718. A funeral service was held December 31, 2011 at Bethany Lutheran Church followed by burial at Rogue River Cemetery in Gold Beach.
