Linda Lee James Oct. 16, 1949 – March 28, 2017
Linda Lee James, 67, of Gold Beach, Ore., passed away at her daughter’s home in Gold Beach on March 28, 2017.
Linda was born October 16, 1949 in Sedro Woolley, Wash. to Charles and Barbara (Coffman) Currit. She lived in Washington, Thorne Bay and Ketchikan, Alaska and Gold Beach. Linda married Merle Jack James in Ketchikan on Oct. 8, 1970. In Gold Beach, she worked as an office administrator for Curry County for 19 years. Linda was active in the Nazarene Church including singing in the choir. She also belonged to Beta Sigma Phi and the Moose Lodge. Linda enjoyed crafts, genealogy, family and graphic design. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Jackelyn and William Seiber of Gold Beach, son, Jean James of Marrieta, Ohio, daughter, Jessica Walker of Port Orford, Ore., step-daughter, Joy Armour of Washington; fifteen grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Teresa Currit of Thorne Bay, Alaska; sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Patrick Bethel of Ketchikan, Alaska. Linda was preceded in death by her husband, brother, Ronald Currit.
No public service will be held.
