Kurt Herman Nolte passed into heaven on August 8, 2024, at home in Brookings, Oregon, six months after a cancer diagnosis.
He was born in Fort Bragg, California on December 16, 1945, to Charlotte and Kurt E. Nolte. He leaves behind his wife, Marilyn, his son, Brian and wife Britt; grandchildren Charley and Brent; also leaves behind his daughter Cyndi Saunders and husband Ski, his grandchildren Emma and Ashley and his two sisters, Pamela Merritt and Debbie Gilliam; his step-children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of wife Marilyn.
Kurt served in the Army Reserves and was honorably discharged. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping and his dogs. He spent 35+ years working for Pacific Bell (now A T & T) as a maintenance splicer. After retiring, he moved to Brookings, Oregon to be near Brian and his family, and the rivers. He even spent a few years as a river guide on the Chetco. When he wasn’t at work or enjoying the outdoors, he was doing home improvements.
No memorial service is planned. He is very much missed and was dearly loved.
