Obituary for Krista (Hahn) Woodel
Krista (Hahn) Woodel Sept. 29, 1968 – Nov. 4, 2012 Krista Woodel, of Brookings, passed away in Medford following a lengthy illness on November 4, 2012. She was 44. Krista was born September 29, 1968 in Gold Beach to Leslie and Shannon (Hayden) Hahn. She grew up in Brookings, attending and graduating from Brookings Harbor High School. Following that, she attended Southern Oregon State College in Ashland. Krista spent most of her working life as a waitress at local restaurants including O’Hollerans and Lee’s Dragon Gate. She also worked at Harbor Drug and Hallmark. She was a member of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church in Brookings. Krista loved spending time with her family and friends. . She also enjoyed doing puzzles including Sudoku and going to picnics. Krista was kind and compassionate, but was also witty and had a great sense of humor. She will be missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her son, Brad Woodel of Brookings, daughter, Courtney Woodel of Lebanon, parents, Leslie “Gene” and Shannon Hahn of Brookings, sisters and brothers-in-law, Angie and Dan Bennett of Caldwell, Ida. and Tanja and Justin Rutherford of Junction City, Ore., nieces, Hollie and Stephanie Eagan-Bennett, and her cherished cat, Monkey. Memorial contributions may be made to the Three Rivers Family House, 407 SW Ramsey, Grants Pass, OR 97526 or to the St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church Discretionary Fund, PO Box 1237, Brookings, OR 97415. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, 401 Fir Street in Brookings. A reception will follow there.
