Obituary for June L. Moore
June L. Moore March 04, 1924 - July 14, 2010 June LaVerne Moore passed away at her home in Brookings on July 14, 2010 at the age of 86. Jane was born March 4, 1924 in Pistol River, Oregon, to Zahnie J. and Dollie E. (Crook) Crockett. She attended grade school at Pistol River and graduated from Gold Beach High School, and was a lifetime resident of Curry county. She was a natural artist and loved her animals and flowers. She married Noel Moore in Gold Beach and he preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents, a son Zahnie Joseph Moore and a sister, Dollie Jean Adams. Survivors include daughters, Cherie Conklin of Grants Pass, Oregon, Charmaine Smoot, Redmond, Oregon; and son Mark Moore of Brookings. Grandchildren Miranda Davis of Drain, Oregon; Mercedes Smoot of Cottage Grove, Oregon; Desiree Conklin and Shane Conklin of Eugene, Oregon, Summer and Joseph Moore of Coos Bay and several great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters: Zahna Z. Rainboth of Gold Beach, Oregon, and Eva. M. Hiatt of Baker City, Oregon, and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, August 6th at 2 PM at the Pistol River Cemetery.
