Obituary for JoAnne Kay (Babb) Pease
JoAnne Kay (Babb) Pease July 21, 1947 - May 15, 2011 JoAnne Kay Pease passed away at her daughter's home in Oakridge, OR on Sunday, May 15, 2011 after a battle with cancer. She was 63. JoAnne was born July 21, 1947 in Salem, OR to Glen and Gladys (Svensrud) Babb. She attended school in Miles City, MT where she met and married Leslie William "Bill" Pease on April 16, 1964. They moved to Brookings in 1969. Mr. Pease preceded JoAnne in death on March 11, 2007. JoAnne worked for Strahm's Lillies for approximately 10 years. She then went to work for Kurt Kessler Kustom Builders where worked as a cabinet maker for the last 22 years. She enjoyed fishing, camping, mushroom picking and spending time with family. Survivors include her sons, Tony, Larry and Terry, all of Brookings, daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Ron Sager of Oakridge, OR, brother, Darrell Babb and a sister, Delma Olsen, and five grandchildren. In addition to her husband, JoAnne was preceded in death by a son, George, brother, Jim Babb and her parents.
