Obituary for James P. Gray
James P. "Bo" Gray Feb. 18, 1971 - Dec. 9, 2010 James P. "Bo" Gray passed away in Harbor, OR on December 9, 2010. He was 39. Jim was born February 18, 1971 in Santa Monica, CA to James and Carol Gray. He grew up in southern California, graduating from Hemet High School. Jim entered the US Air Force in 1989 and served during Operation Desert Storm in Germany and in Cheyenne, WY at Warren Air Force Base until being honorably discharged at the rank of Senior Airman in 1993. He then attended ITT Technical Institute in San Bernardino, CA for one year. Jim held various jobs during his life, most recently with the Brookings Fred Meyer store. He enjoyed reading, especially philosophy, and was a very gifted designer. Jim had an affinity with animals, especially cats, and they responded in kind. Although he had little money, he would give to those in need. Trained as a first responder, he assisted many people during critical situations in their lives. Survivors include his father, James Gray of Harbor, mother, Carol Gray of Cañon City, CO. Jim is very sorely missed by those who love him, and memories are the treasures he left us. Viewing for family and friends will be held on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010 from 4 to 6pm at Redwood Memorial Chapel, 1020 Fifield St. in Brookings.
