Obituary for Geraldine A. Good
Geraldine A. Good, 92, passed away peacefully at her home in Brookings on November 1, 2017.
Geraldine was born July 23, 1925 in Gloucester, Mass. to Herbert and Adeline (Brown) Allen. She married Clyde L. Good in San Diego, Calif. On Sept. 4, 1954. They moved to Brookings in 1979.
During her early years in San Diego, Geraldine worked for Convair as a timekeeper where she met the love of her life, Clyde L. Good. Later, she worked for a food catering service and eventually stayed at home to raise her children. She enjoyed dancing, music, playing the organ, traveling, arts and crafts, spending time with family, and volunteering in her community.
Survivors include her daughter, Laurie A. Good of Grants Pass, stepson, Alan Good of San Diego, Calif., sister, Barbara Stamegna of Mass., seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde L. Good; son, Neil Good; stepson, Ron Good; brother, Sonny Allen and sister, Mildred Williams.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Chetco Activity Center in Brookings. The community is welcome to attend and share in all of the wonderful memories and joy she brought to those who knew her. Inurnment will be with her husband at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, Calif.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Chetco Activity Center. Redwood Memorial Chapel is assisting the family. Condolences may be expressed online at www.redwoodmemorial.net.
