Frederick “Fred” Notestine
Dec. 27, 1951 – Feb. 6, 2023
Fred was born in San Jose, California and grew up in Sunnyvale. He moved to Humboldt County, where
his son, Clinton Notestine (Brandi), now of Sacramento, was born: his pride and joy! He is survived by his
wife of 20 years, Karen Notestine; his sister, nieces and nephews of Idaho, whom he loved so much!
Fred loved gardening and growing food and sharing with neighbors and friends. Even his doctors got 2 1⁄2
lbs. of onions! He loved being helpful: the Hospice Marketplace, the CAF Fish Hatchery, The Historical
Museum, the “give away”, and selling tickets to fundraisers. He was also known for selling his friend’s
great calendars!
We will celebrate him and his life at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 3, ,2023 at the First Baptist Church of Gold
Beach, 29755 Turner Street, where he was a member. A luncheon and story sharing time will follow the
service.
