Obituary for Esther Delgado
Esther Delgado passed away unexpectedly at her home from natural causes August 21st. Esther was born June 30, 1952 in Fresno , CA ; a daughter of Luis and Epiphania (Ramirez) Delgado. She was raised and educated in Fresno , where she lived until moving to Brookings in the mid-1990’s. While in Fresno , she received an associate of arts degree in business and later joined the U.S. Army, where she served two years. Following her honorable discharge, she was employed as an insurance adjuster. Esther worked at a variety of positions after moving to Brookings. She had worked at Companion Link and Rosewood Manor. Later, she was employed as a receptionist by Dr. Demian and by Gold Beach Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation. One of her favorite jobs was as a volunteer during the Biscuit Fire, where she served as a barber for the firefighters and drove water trucks. Throughout her life, Esther loved animals, and animals had a special affinity for her. She was a talented artisan, gifted seamstress, painter and a wonderful cook. Esther loved the Lord and was loving and kind to others, and well-liked throughout her life. Private services will be held at a later date. Memorials in her name may be made to: Francis Cheney Family House in Medford, Oregon. Arrangements are under the direction of Redwood Memorial Chapel.
