Obituary for Ellen Engdahl
Ellen Engdahl December 23, 1925 - November 1, 2016 Ellen Engdahl, a longtime resident of Gold Beach, died Tuesday, November 1st. at Azalea Gardens Assisted Living Community in Brookings, OR. Ellen was a kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed large family gatherings in her home. She attended Bethany Lutheran Church in Gold Beach where she was one of the church's original founding members. Ellen worked for many years at the family business, Norris Body Shop, with her husband Norris and their son Jerry. After retiring, one of Ellen's favorite things to do was to play bingo with her friends at the VFW Hall on Friday nights. Ellen is survived by her son Bruce Engdahl, son Jerry Engdahl and his wife Teresa, a daughter-in-law Sybil Caldwell and her husband Greg. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jeremy Engdahl and his wife Kari, Justin Engdahl, Jenni Engdahl, Kirsten Petrie and her husband Boyd, Misty Steele and her husband Shawn, Jonathan Aranda, Molly Engdahl and Evah Engdahl . Ellen also had 9 great-grandchildren. Ellen was preceded in by her husband Norris and their son Rodney. A memorial service for Ellen will be set at a later date.
