Obituary for Edward S. Querin
Edward S. Querin, also known as “Fast Eddie” and “Mr. Ed”, passed away in Gold Beach, OR. on May 14, 2010. He was 85. Ed was born December 17, 1924 in San Diego, CA to Edward and Marie (Ball) Querin. He grew up there and in the Sacramento area where he graduated from Christian Brothers Boarding School. Ed spent most of his career in management including as general manager with Garlick & Tingey Millwork in Sacramento and the Sacramento Builders' Exchange. He married Jo Ann Willis in Sacramento, CA on December 31, 1980. They moved to Brookings in 1995. Ed loved boating was an active member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, 12th District, Flotilla 35 in Sacramento, the Mokelumne Yacht Club and the Sacramento Yacht Club. He also enjoyed reading and loved Classic cars, of which he had a '50 Chevy Pickup and '65 Ford Pickup. He was a member of Curry County Cruisers. He was also an RVer. Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann of Brookings, son, Patrick of Sacramento, daughter, Nancy of Sacramento, brother, Paul Querin and his wife, Joanne of San Diego, CA, and twin grandchildren, Tara and Paul. Ed was preceded in death by a son, Michael Querin and a stepson, David Willis. A celebration of Ed's life will be announced at a later date. Redwood Memorial Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
