Edgar O. Canales Aug. 31, 2000 -Jan. 12, 2017
The beloved 16-year-old Edgar Canales, born Aug. 31, 2000, in Los Angeles, California to Martin and Reyna Canales, was taken away too soon on Jan. 12, 2017.
This Brookings-Harbor High School young man had been courageously fighting brain cancer for the last year and a half, but throughout it all he was full of love and strength until the end.
Edgar was an inspirational son, baby brother, uncle, and friend to many. Thank you to the community for all their support and love through his journey.
Services for Edgar will be at Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 820 Old County Road. Viewing will be at 10 a.m. Saturday Jan. 21; a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1 pm. Interment at WJ Ward Memorial Cemetery, 1035 Seventh St., will conclude the services.
