Obituary for David William Chapman
David William Chapman, a long-time resident of Brookings, Oregon passed away on January 16, 2015 after a long struggle with aggressive Lymphoma. David has been the main caretaker of his mother Alice Chapman's Cape Ferrelo home since his father's passing some years ago. David had made many friends in Brookings and had considered this area "the only place to live" after moving here from Southern California many years ago. After moving to Brookings he started his own business D.C. Construction. There are many beautiful buildings in Brookings that are a testament to his fine craftsmanship. David was also a gifted farmer with a genuine talent for bringing out the best in his garden. David is survived by his mother, Alice Chapman, his only son, Ryan Chapman, and seven siblings, Mai Alyschild, Gina Brown, Carol Ludt, Pat Rutten, and Chuck, Donna and James Chapman.
