Obituary for Darlene Rae Jellots
IN LOVING MEMORY OF DAR JELLOTS
Our beloved Darlene Rae Jellots became an angel on August 11, 2016. She was a hard-working, wonderful woman who dedicated her life to caring for others and spreading love everywhere she went.
Dar always had an open heart and home for the countless “kids” she considered to be her own. She was creative and lively and could always make those around her laugh and smile. Her favorite things to do were walking her cherished dog, Malo, cooking, gardening, art, music, rooting for the 49ers, playing bingo and, most of all, being with her family and friends.
She will be greatly missed by her son, Robert Purdy, daughter Kristen Cunningham and her husband, Kevin; companion, Darrell Purdy; brothers, Andrew A. Jellots, Jr. and his wife, Elke, Douglas P. Jellots; sisters, Pamela Davidson and her husband, John, Lisa Williams and her husband, Corey, Nanette Bissett and her husband, Michael. Dar is reunited in death with her father and mother, Andrew Jellots, Sr. and Elvira (Broadwater) Jellots; her brothers, Jeffrey M. Jellots and Joseph Broadwater, and sisters, Sharon Angelo and Deborah Jellots.
A memorial fund to assist the family has been established in Darlene’s name at Umpqua Bank.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30pm on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016 at Capella By The Sea at Azalea Park in Brookings. A wake will follow at the Chetco Grange Hall in Harbor. All who loved her are welcome to attend.
