Obituary for Dale Edward Denton
Dale Edward Denton, age 70, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021 in Brookings, Oregon. Dale was born January 29, 1951 in Washington to Gene and Emma Lou Denton of Rainer, Oregon. Dale moved to Brookings and graduated from Brookings-Harbor high school. Dale married his high school sweetheart Lindy Gowman in 1972 and went on to own his own trucking company. Dale loved spending time with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Gene and Emma Lou Denton, sister Darcy Janine Denton, brother-in-law Jeffery Gowman, and granddaughter Kendall Danielle Denton. He is lovingly survived by his wife Lindy (Gowman) Denton of Brookings, Oregon, his sons Dale "Ryan" Denton, Dustin Denton (daughter-in-law Dawna Gandy), daughter Lisa "Shimmerie" Denton, grandsons Brylin Denton-Grover and John Baldwin, granddaughter Kaydence Denton, great-grandsons Haven Priest and Tucker Denton, and great-granddaughter Nova Priest-Denton all of Brookings, Oregon. He is also survived by many niece and nephews along with extended family and friends. Dale had a contagious spark to life that he passed along to all that knew him. He will be remembered for his infectious sense of humor and overwhelming love for his family. His celebration of life will be Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Elk's Lodge.
