Obituary for Cynthia Annette Sanders
Cynthia Annette Sanders Cynthia A. Sanders, 59, of Gold Beach, our angel here on earth, went home to be with the lord on September 10, 2021, after a long battle with her medical conditions. Our beloved wife, sister, mother and BFF may be gone, but she will never be forgotten. Born in San Rafael, CA on March 21, 1962, Cindy was raised on a dairy farm, before following her dad around the world as a he deployed in the Army. Germany was her favorite country that her family visited as a child. As an adult, Cindy made her home in several states including Kansas, Colorado, Idaho and California, finally landing in Gold Beach in 2002, fulfilling her dream to live by the ocean. She went to work for the Curry County Commissions office, where she met her spouse Dave Sanders in 2006. Kindred souls, they fell in love and were married in Oahu, Hawaii on September 6, 2007. Dave & Cindy made Gold Beach their permanent home during their 15 years together. Most folks in Gold Beach knew Cindy when she worked as a Clerk at the United States Post Office for several years before retiring with her medical disability in 2009. Cindy loved big screen movies, cooking, exploring the world, organizing, cross-stitching beautiful gifts for friends and family and was a puzzle master. She was always prepared with two of everything. She is survived by her immediate family, spouse Dave Sanders, daughter Mandy Wade and (2) grandchildren, son Christopher, parents Bill and Laura Collins of Rohnert Park, dad Don Raymer of Monterey Bay, brother Donnie Raymer of Gold Beach, sister Donya and Mitch Melcher of Albany, sister Suzie and Gary Collins of AK, brother Gary and Jackie Collins of Rohnert Park and dozens of aunts, uncles, nephews, and nieces in CA, AK, MT, FL and OR. Please come join us in remembering her beautiful spirit and charitable soul. Graveside services are being arranged by Redwood Memorial and will be held in the Gold Beach Rogue Cemetery on October 16, 2021, at 2PM. Please wear a mask. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Cindy’s favorite local non-profit, Oasis Shelters in Gold beach, PO Box 932, Gold Beach OR 97444.
