Obituary for Cecila "Fern" Perron
Cecila “Fern” Perron passed away at a local care facility in Brookings, Ore. on June 3, 2012. She was 94. Fern, as family and friends knew her, was born February 7, 1918 in Cascade, Idaho to Cleve and Nancy (Crawford) Gifford. Fern attended Beauty College in Idaho and worked as a beautician in Boise for many years. She married William C. Perron in Caldwell on November 16, 1935. They had three children, daughter Carla and twin boys, Ronald and Donald. Fern was a life member of the McCall Valeria Chapter #76 of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, knitting, crocheting and doing crafts. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Don Scoggins of Brookings, son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Linda Perron of Vancouver, Wash., and son, Donald Perron of Boise, Id., eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren . Fern was preceded in death by her husband and a brother, William “Bill” Gifford. Memorial contributions may be made to your local chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. No public ceremony will be held. Inurnment will be private at Cloverdale Cemetery in Boise, Idaho.
