Obituary for Carol Irene Hadley
Carol Irene Hadley Aug. 29, 1934 - May 13, 2011 Carol Hadley passed away at her home in Harbor surrounded by family on May 13, 2011. She was 76. Carol was born August 29, 1934 in Colorado Springs, CO to Glenn and Clytie (Johnson) Hadley. Although Carol was born with a physical disability, it never stopped her from doing the things she wanted to do, including serving in her church's administrative and Sunday school departments for more than 30 years. She also worked at Goodwill in Portland prior to moving to Harbor in 1956. Carol enjoyed reading, working on the computer and babysitting. Survivors include her siblings, Jack Hadley and his wife, Judy of Bellvue, WA, Darrel Hadley of Las Cruces, NM, Richard "Dick" Hadley and his wife, Linda of Brookings, Duane Hadley and his wife, Sue of Eugene, OR, Lorna Dawson and her husband, Larry, also of Eugene and Glenda Wilber and her husband, Cecil of Brookings, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Roger and Donald Hadley. A memorial service will be held at Lighthouse Assembly of God Church, 15803 Hwy. 101 South in Harbor on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 2:00pm. Revs. Richard Hadley and Jim Schultz will officiate. Private inurnment will be held at W. J. Ward Memorial Cemetery in Brookings.
