Obituary for Candy Cronberger
Candy Cronberger Oct. 27, 1958 – June 10, 2017
Candy Cronberger, 58, of Gold Beach, passed away at her daughter’s home in Yamhill, Ore. following a brief battle with cancer.
Candy was born Oct. 27, 1958 in Lynwood, Calif. to Bill and Carolyn (Holt) Cronberger. She grew up in the Huntington Beach and Surfside communities, attending and graduating high school in Surfside. She then attended college in Arizona where she earned a degree in accounting. Candy would spend much of her career in planning for city and county government. She worked in Yoncalla before moving to Gold Beach in 2005 where she served first as the county planner for Curry County and then as city planner, city secretary and assistant to the Administrator for the City of Gold Beach. Candy was an avid quilter and canner and enjoyed taking care of her home. She also enjoyed rock hounding and had taken several trips with her mom on rock hounding expeditions. She was fond of her animals and also was an avid reader.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Chris Maxwell of Yamhill, Ore., son, Tyler Ewalt, serving in the US Navy currently stationed in Washington; mother, Carolyn Cronberger of Gold Beach; and one grandchild, Mateo. Candy was preceded in death by her father, Bill and her grandparents, Ruth and Harold Holt.

Viewing will be held 4-7pm Friday June 16th at Redwood Memorial Chapel.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Rogue River Cemetery, Hunter Creek Loop in Gold Beach.
