Blain Alan Tidwell, 25, of Brookings died on August 14, 2017 surrounded by his family. Blain was born in Medford on May 22, 1992 to Rick and Michelle Tidwell.
He attended Kalmiopsis, Azalea and Brookings Harbor High School and graduated in 2010.
His biggest love was spending time with his friends and he was always willing to lend an ear. His love and compassion touched the hearts of many people, young and old.
Blain was passionate about his artwork, music, love of animals and helping others. He loved spending time up the Chetco River and at the beaches and had a large collection of pictures of his adventures. He was very well known by many for his great sense of humor and no matter the setting, he could put a smile on anyone’s face.
He appreciated everything about life and the beauty in it, and wished that everyone could see it through his eyes. His motto was to take the best of every day and cherish it.
Blain will be greatly missed by his Parents, Brothers Devin and Austin, Aunt Colleen Horton (Kirk Pendleton), Uncle Dan Horton (Karyn Horton), Uncle Burl Tidwell, numerous cousins and the light of his life, his nephew Charlie Ray.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Don and Marge Horton and grandfather, Burl Tidwell.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Brookings Church of the Nazarene, 1600 Chetco Ave, Brookings, Or. At 1:00 pm on September 4, 2017.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, 401 Fir St., Brookings, OR 97415.
His final resting place will be at Ward Memorial Cemetery with his grandparents.
