On January 21, 2016 in Ophir, Oregon, Billy R. Combs left this earth. Bill was born March 18, 1942 in Coolidge, Arizona to Aline and Amos Combs, the youngest of eight children. Bill grew up in Thornton, CA , attended Galt High School where he excelled in sports, breaking many records. He Served in the US ARMY and played first string for their football team in Ft. Sill Oklahoma. Bill retired from Pacific Coast Producers, Lodi, CA . He was a longtime member of the American Legion, the Gold Beach Moose Lodge and the Brookings Elks Lodge #1934.
Predeceased by parents Aline and Amos Combs, brothers, Bud, Burl and Howard Combs, and sister Pauline Harrison. Survived by wife Louise Foster, daughter Sara Hogan (John) and three grandchildren, Kyle, Paige and Drew, sisters Roberta Wininger, Lucille McGranahan and Geri Laskosky. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. Bill was much loved and will be missed by many.
Services are pending and will be held at a later date in Lodi, Calif.
