Obituary for Beverly J. Daugherty
Beverly J. Daugherty Oct. 8, 1933 - June 5, 2011 Beverly Daugherty passed away in Gold Beach on June 5, 2011. She was 77. Beverly was born October 8, 1933 in Los Angeles, Calif. to Ruel and Delia (Huffer) Harp. She lived in Los Angeles until the family moved to Oklahoma when she was 9. Beverly married Ivan Daugherty in Reno, Nevada on June 1, 1952. They moved to Portland in 1963. She was active in different organization including Campfire Girls, Cub scouts, Girl Scouts, the American Legion and the Peninsula Open Bible Church in Portland. Beverly enjoyed quilting, crocheting, cooking and collecting angels. Survivors include her daughter, Beverly Jean Daugherty of Portland, son, Randy Daugherty of Vancouver, WA, daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Terry Clark of Gold Beach, nine grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Beverly was preceded in death by her brothers, Ruel "Butch" Harp, Jr. and Mervin Wilson and a sister, Barbara Klieve. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 12:00pm at Peninsula Open Bible Church, 8225 North Peninsular Avenue in Portland. Inurnment will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
