Obituary for Beverly Ann Grimes
Beverly Ann Grimes, 67, passed away at her home on June 7th, 2020. Bev was born in Gold Beach, Oregon to Florence and Gordon B. Bowman. Later moving to Klamath Falls, Oregon; Wasila, Alaska; Then back to Brookings, Oregon.
Beverly lived a vibrant life and enjoyed the company of her friends and family. She was a strong woman and proved it in her work ethic as well as her choices in life. Stubborn but caring, blunt but truthful, and at times, difficult but loving. The last few years of her life, she preferred the quietness of home instead of the hustle and bustle of town. In her last year, she battled cancer on her terms and passed with family around her.
Beverly is preceded in death by her Husband, Doug Grimes. Her parents, Florence and Gordon Bowman. She is survived by her siblings, Jim Bowman of Brookings and Lisa Skeen of Vancouver, WA. She leaves behind her children, Greg Rice (Vonna Westman) of Klamath Falls and Kelly Grimes (Cheryl Grimes) of Brookings. Also left behind are five grandchildren, Greylin, Mckensie, Madison, Ryan and Josephine.
No services will be held. A private spreading of her ashes was held on June 13th. The family thanks all those who helped Beverly in her battle.
