Obituary for Barbara S. Dimmick
Barbara S. Dimmick, 65, of Brookings, passed away in Medford, Ore. on December 19, 2014. Barbara was born February 18, 1949 in Glendale, California. She grew up in Portland, Ore. – moving there at an early age from California. She attended U of O in Eugene. Barbara lived in Portland where she worked as a claims processor for Aetna Insurance. On January 31, 1992, Barbara married David Dimmick in Reno, Nevada. The couple moved to Brookings that same year. Barbara and David looked forward to their annual summer trips to Arizona. On their most recent trip, Barbara was able to fulfill a lifelong dream when she and David attended a Paul McCartney concert. Survivors include her husband, David of Brookings, sister, April Rosenthal (Paul) of Ashland, Ore., and their children, Alec and Chloe, daughter, Penny Rieman (Patrick) of Orlando, Florida, grandson, Ayden, stepchildren, Jason (Tyann) Dimmick of Brookings, stepdaughter, Kristi Testa of Brookings, Ore., stepgrandchildren, Summer, Jacob, Keelee, Aspen, Sunnie, Cody and Bryce. Redwood Memorial Chapel is assisting the family.
