Obituary for Leroy Reich
Leroy Reich Nov. 3, 1936 – March 3, 2018
Brookings resident Leroy Reich passed away on March 3, 2018 at the age of 81. He was born November 3, 1936 in French Camp, California to Phillip and Katharina (Klein) Reich. Leroy served in the US Navy as an air controller and spent 20 years as a warehouseman in the Sacramento Army Depot. He loved to barbeque and make homemade bread. Family activities were his favorite pastime and he especially enjoyed being able to golf. He was a San Francisco 49’er fan and loved to watch football games. Leroy was married December 16, 1979 in Citrus Heights, CA to Beverly Jean Conner who survives him. He is also survived by 6 children: Joe Burke & his wife Aleta of Brookings, OR; Shawn Burke and his wife Veronica of Post Falls, Idaho; Jeff Burke and his partner Amanda Davison of Brookings, OR; Scott Burke and his wife Anita of Medford, OR, Sharrel and Ty Reich of California, and a sister-in law Joyce Bosworth and her husband Bill of Stevensville, Montana; also by 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, 8 brothers, 3 sisters, and a granddaughter, Laura. A Celebration of life will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, May 9, 2018 at Redwood Memorial Chapel, 1020 Fifield Street, Brookings, with interment to follow at W. J. Ward Memorial Cemetery.
