Obituary for Daniel Elden Thomson
Daniel E. Thomson Jan. 16, 1942 – Sept. 17, 2017
Daniel E. Thomson, 75, passed away at his home in Brookings on Sept. 17, 2017.
Daniel was born Jan. 16, 1942 in Sandwich, Ill. to Elden and Dorothy Thomson. He served in the U.S. Army following 4 years of college. Daniel then went to work for Boeing where he would continue for 39 years. He married Marilyn Wolfe in Spokane, Wash on Dec. 19, 1964. They lived in Spokane and Renton, Wash. before moving to Brookings in 2005. Daniel was a handyman, enjoyed helping others, working on cars as well as keeping updated on the newest car information. He always had a smile for everyone and was a great dad and husband. He and Marilyn were members of the First Baptist Church in Gold Beach.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn of Brookings; sons, Timothy Thomson of Brookings and Todd Thomson of Auburn, Wash.; siblings, David, Ross, Gordon and Paul Thomson, Mary Wittingham, Pat Dickson and Esther Birch, all of Wisconsin, Lois Williams of Arizona; grandchildren, Tia Thomson and Jordynn Allred.
